KIAD opens wide its doors in June inviting friends, prospective employers, the media and the public to come and see the students' achievements. At show time there is plenty to enjoy in the studios and workspaces that become exhibition halls for the duration, and, because many exhibits are for sale, there is the opportunity to identify and buy the work of a rising creative star.
For the students nervously applying the finishing touches to the exhibits, this is the moment when they bet their skills and creativity - nurtured by KIAD's tutors - against market forces and Lady Luck. Maybe someone with influence and taste will pick you out from the crowd and launch you into work, money and fame. Whatever happens, it has cost a lot to get this far - in time and effort (not to mention the student loan).
The atmosphere of excitement and involvement at KIAD builds at this time. For students (and staff) the most important thing now is that the work be seen. We are pleased to invite you to come and visit the shows. We hope to see you there!
