Entry requirements
We welcome applications from students from a wide range of backgrounds. All applications will be assessed against the course entry requirements and criteria, irrespective of age. Applicants will be considered on a case by case basis and by their ability and readiness for university study.
For most courses, we require a portfolio of work to be submitted (either in person or online) to provide evidence of practical and visual ability appropriate to the course you are applying for. Specific information and guidelines about portfolio requirements can be found on each of the course pages.
You may also be invited for interview or be required to submit other material as part of the application process.
Postgraduate entry requirements
Graduate Diploma in Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2)
- A good Honours degree in Architecture (normally 2:1 or above) with Part 1 of the professional qualification recognised by the ARB and RIBA, plus;
- Normally one year in an architectural practice following Part 1 qualification.
MA and MFA degrees
- A good Honours degree (normally 2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification in your chosen subject or a related discipline, and/or;
- Relevant work experience, demonstrating your ability to study at postgraduate level.
MBA Creative Industries Management
- A good Honours degree (normally 2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification in your chosen subject or a related discipline, and;
- Two years' relevant work experience, demonstrating your ability to study at postgraduate level.
PG Certificate Learning & Teaching in the Creative Arts
- A good Honours degree (normally 2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification in your chosen subject or a related discipline, and;
- 150 hours of teaching practice in an FE or HE institution concurrently with the course.
English language requirements
A good level of English is essential to study for a degree. If English is not your first language, a certificate is required as evidence that you have the necessary level of English to succeed on your chosen course.
