Intensive Art & Design Portfolio Development (12 weeks)

Entry requirements

• you need to have made an application for a UCA BA (Hons) course
• you should be at least 18 years old upon enrolment
• you must provide evidence that you have met the minimum English language requirement for your intended course.  See below:

Portfolio requirements

Between 10 and 15 selected examples of your work which demonstrates your passion for fashion and/or textiles or graphic design and/or illustration along with your general creative skills.

Your portfolio could present a range of work including:

• Observational drawings (for example still life or life drawing)
• Examples of the use of colour (for example paintings or illustrations)
• Design sheets showing visual research and the development of ideas
• Sketchbook work which shows some evidence of visual research, the development of your personal ideas and exploration of influences
• Examples of any three dimensional work or photographic work you have produced
• An example of written work relating to fashion and/or textiles or graphic design and/or illustration

Minimum English language requirements

Portfolio Development without English: IELTS* 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in any one component

Portfolio Development with English: IELTS* 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in writing and a minimum of 5.0 in any other component

*or equivalent UKBA recognised qualification
