Intensive Art & Design Portfolio Development (12 weeks)

The purpose of this highly intensive 12 week course is to enable you to produce an appropriate subject specific portfolio of work to prepare you for a BA (Hons) level course at the University for the Creative Arts in the areas of Fashion / Textiles or Graphic Design / Illustration.

It is ideal if you are already focussed on one major subject area but your portfolio needs further development in order to meet the standards to secure an undergraduate degree place at the University for the Creative Arts.

This course will develop your portfolio to enable you to automatically continue onto BA level study and will include some or all of the following:

Exploration of drawing techniques
Analytical drawings
Use of pattern and colour
Different types of media use and exploration
Fashion and/or textile or graphic design and/or illustration related research boards
Research from primary and secondary sources, annotated sketchbook work and personal development work
Use of the design process to translate a 2D design concept in to a 3D garment.
High levels of portfolio presentation skills
Written work

Successful completion of the Art & Design Portfolio course will ensure progression to the following undergraduate degree courses at the University for the Creative Arts:
