MPhil/PhD Application Form
Pre-application
Applicants are required to submit an RD12 Research Proposal form for consideration by the Research Degrees Admissions Panel in advance of a formal application to study for MPhil/PhD at UCA. If the panel considers that you have a feasible research question and there is suitable supervisory expertise to support your proposed project, you will be referred to a member of staff to develop your proposal into a formal application to study at UCA.
You should submit the completed RD12 to the Research Office Email. Please ensure that the subject box contains your name and 'Research Proposal Form' (i.e. 'John Smith - Research Proposal Form').
To prepare your Research Proposal, you may find it useful to read a Definition of PhD Research . There are also a range of publications on PhD research which are widely available.
Deadline for entry in October 2012 has been extended to Thursday 31st May
Normal application requirements
- a recognised Masters Degree or other equivalent qualification relevant to the research project proposed or;
- substantial appropriate research or professional experience at postgraduate level and;
- if your first language is not English, a recent certificate showing an IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent
