"I participated in a thrilling and motivating international exchange in the multi-cultural and diverse island of Australia. This land is situated 10,000km from UCA and the city of Sydney which I called home for a short period of time represents a postcard image that most people dream about visiting but a postcard cannot convey the full vitality and diversity of the city. The institute I was studying at encompassed students from every corner of the globe enriching my cultural understanding and empathy."

Josephine Adegboye

UCA course: BA (Hons) Fashion Management & Marketing, UCA Epsom
Exchange destination: Vancouver, Canada

"Experiencing the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada was without a doubt one of best decisions I have ever made. Pulling myself out of my comfort zone, I was able to experience new cultures, meet new people and face new challenges. Not only was I able to experience Canada, I had the opportunity of visiting different American cities. All in all, I had the most amazing time of my life, and I would strongly recommend it to future students."

"I'm not going to write about how it was a life changing experience, or other cliches you can find quoted on gap year websites. What I will say is this: although I had lived abroad and travelled before, there is no experience that will ever match the Erasmus one. Erasmus is fun. Erasmus is challenging. Erasmus is... something you can only understand once you have experienced it. You can make many trips in your life, but there is no better way to immerse yourself in a new culture, make friends with people from all over the world and understand what student life really is."
